✨ Free, on request — one key per site

TranslateRocket Labs is a free add-on for teams and agencies: external collaborators with a secret link, a second opinion on machine translations, and translation with no API key from any browser — phones included.

🤝
External collaborators
A secret link for your translator or agency: chosen pages and languages, an expiry, your approval.
🔍
Second opinion
A free AI rereads machine translations every day and flags the doubtful ones, with a correction.
🔑
No API key
No account, no card, nothing to set up. Switch it on and it translates.
📱
Any browser, phones too
Your server does the work: Firefox, Safari, a phone or a tablet — it all works.
🔗
Always translated
Your API keys, the browser, Google, Yandex — in the order you choose. If one stops, the next takes over.

Who it is for

For anyone who translates a site with other people: an agency with its clients, a company with its translators and reviewers, a site owner who wants a second pair of eyes on machine translation. And for anyone who wants their site translated with no key at all, from any browser — the free TranslateRocket does that only in Chrome and Edge on a computer.

Since TranslateRocket 1.7.0, the free AI providers (Cloudflare, Groq, OpenRouter), the translation style from your kind of site and the universal importer are in the free plugin, for everyone.

What Labs adds

🤝 External collaborators — no WordPress account

Send a secret link to a translator, a reviewer or an agency: you choose the pages, the languages, the role (translate, review or edit) and when the link expires, and you can revoke it at any time. They work on a page that speaks their browser’s language, and what they send waits for your approval — unless you mark them as trusted.

🔍 A second opinion on machine translations

Every day a free AI you set up in TranslateRocket (Cloudflare, Groq or OpenRouter) rereads what the machine engines translated and lists the doubtful sentences, each with the reason and a proposed correction. You use the correction or keep the translation.

🌍 Translate with no key, from any browser — phones included

Labs adds Yandex Translate as a provider inside TranslateRocket. Your server does the translating, so it works from Firefox, Safari, a phone or a tablet — no API key, no account, nothing to pay. It works for most languages and it works in the background too: “Translate all”, translation on publish, the visual editor.

⚡ Translate on publish

Publish or update a page and its new text is translated into your languages in the background, with the provider you use. No button to press, nothing to remember.

🧭 Google Translate for the languages the others miss

While you work in wp-admin, your own browser can ask Google Translate for the languages the browser translator does not have (Wolof, for example). It runs from your browser, a few sentences at a time.

💻 The browser translator, in the background

On a computer with Chrome or Edge, the translator built into the browser works through the text still waiting while you do something else in wp-admin — on your computer, nothing sent anywhere.

Read this first: official and unofficial

⚠️ Yandex and Google are used through unofficial endpoints

  • They are not official services, and TranslateRocket is not affiliated with Yandex or Google. They can change or stop at any time.
  • Using them from a program may not comply with their terms of use: whether to switch them on is your choice.
  • The text of your public pages is sent to them to be translated (Yandex is based in Russia): mention it in your privacy policy.
  • If they see too many requests they can refuse them for a while: Labs then pauses by itself and your other providers take over.
  • These are machine translations, to review where it matters. For the best quality, use an AI key (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepL) in the free plugin.

Each one stays off until you read its conditions in Labs and tick “I have read this and I accept”.

Questions people ask

Is Labs really free?

Yes, today Labs is free: you ask, and you receive the plugin and a key for your site. Labs may become a paid product one day. If it does, we will say so in advance, and the version you already have keeps working: the key is checked on your own site, and we cannot switch it off from a distance.

Why is it not on WordPress.org?

Because some of its features use unofficial services — the free endpoints of Yandex Translate and Google Translate — that the WordPress.org directory does not host. The free TranslateRocket on WordPress.org stays complete and official; Labs is a separate add-on you install yourself.

Is it safe for my site?

Labs uses the same engine as TranslateRocket and never changes your pages: it only adds translations, saved as machine translations you can review. The unofficial services stay off until you read their conditions and tick “I have read this and I accept”.

Which languages does the no-key translation cover?

Yandex Translate covers about a hundred languages, including all the main European ones, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi and Turkish. For a language it does not have, the Google option in your browser can take over.

Do I need the free TranslateRocket too?

Yes: Labs is an add-on. Labs 0.5.0 needs TranslateRocket 1.7.0 or later; if yours is older, Labs tells you and waits.

Do my collaborators need an account on my site?

No. They open a secret link you created, which works only for the pages, languages and time you chose. Nothing they send goes on the site until you approve it, and you can revoke the link at any time.

How do I get updates?

Labs updates itself from translaterocket.com like any plugin: when a new version is out, WordPress shows it in Plugins and in Dashboard → Updates, and you update with one click. Your key must be valid for your site.

What do you do with my e-mail address?

We use it only to send you the key and the plugin, and to tell you about important changes to Labs. Nothing else, no newsletter unless you ask for one, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
